Images

One of the beauties of Pressto! is that it allows you to set the exact page layout you want, positioning images (and text) precisely where you want them. Each image is an object within the page… Pressto! doesn’t “rasterize” the page creating a big, heavy image to display. This is very powerful as the objects can be combined and effects can be applied.

Image Features

Multilayered images and moving backgrounds on pages

Images can be placed on top of each other and backgrounds can have subtle movements to make the pages come alive.

Image Blend effect

Pressto! supports image blending with dozens of blending modes.

Darken – Normal – Multiply – Screen – Overlay – Lighten – Color Dodge

Color Burn – Soft Light – Hard Light – Difference – Exclusion – Hue – Saturation

Color -  Luminosity -  Clear -  Copy – Source In – Source Out – Source Atop

Destination Over – Destination In – Destination Out – Destination Atop

XOR – Plus Darker – Plus Lighter

Zoom

Two zooming methods are supported:

For smaller images the most effective method is “pinch to zoom”.

When you want to display really big images efficiently you may want to use “tiled images”, a method commonly used for maps online that improves performance and memory management at any reduction the user wants.

Image Rotation

When zooming an image with “pinch to zoom” the user can also freely rotate the image on screen with a clockwise or counterclockwise movement of both fingers.

Galleries

Pressto allows positioning as many Image Galleries as you want anywhere on any page. Galleries can be full screen or smaller. The reader can view images in the gallery just by swiping right or left. You may assign names to images that may be displayed and even an indicator that shows the number of images in the Gallery.

Move Images

Pressto!’s Free Move option for Images allows readers to reposition the image anywhere they want by dragging them with their fingers.
